What are your hobbies? What’s your passion?
I love adventure. I love traveling and seeing new places. I love to fly. I stop and stare if I see a plane in the sky and often wonder where it’s going.
How did you hear about Mad Genius?
I originally started working at Eyevox in 2004. Mad Genius was started the following year.
Tell us about your first day at Mad Genius.
I can’t remember back that far. I do remember being incredibly intimidated by Rick. I have since learned there is no reason to be.
What’s your greatest accomplishment (or what have you enjoyed most) at Mad Genius?
I have enjoyed the laid back atmosphere at Mad G the most, that and the people who work here. I am happy to call my co-workers my second family.
What Genius memory(ies) stand out?
So many… We have fun at work. We play in the snow when it snows, we have Thanksgiving and Christmas lunches. We have had Nerf gun fights in the hallways, ping pong tourneys, afternoons at the movies, and we also have quite a few pranksters here. If you take vacation time, then you are opening yourself up! We do work occasionally.
What’s your most NON-Genius moment at Mad Genius?
Gosh, I have quite a few. I’m very gullible. I do remember David Matthews asking me before my vacation to Mexico if I was going on a catamaran. I didn’t know what that was. Well, that was all he needed to know. He had me believing it was a type of dance. I learned differently of course and actually went on a catamaran on that trip. It didn’t matter though; a t-shirt was made with people dancing on it and underneath written “The Catamaran.” David still wears it.
What is the one thing no one really knows about you?
My real name is Shelley Nicole and not Nikki. It’s just a nickname.
Of all the world’s geniuses, whom do you most admire?
